Fear of Public Speaking and a Reason to Give Thanks
Many of my clients come to me having tried every way they could find to overcome their fear of public speaking — from self help groups to books to public speaking training to therapy and coaching. After years of trying to rid themselves of debilitating panic symptoms whose impact ranges from diminishing the quality of their speech to completely freezing, and even canceling the engagement altogether, they often find that their fear has only continued to get worse!!
When they come to me, they are usually hoping for some way to better manage their fear, having given up hope that their fear is cancelled out altogether. SO HERE’S A REASON TO GIVE THANKS THIS THANKSGIVING: FEAR OF PUBLIC SPEAKING AND MANY OTHER PERFORMANCE FEARS ARE CURABLE!!
